During this private cooking class, you’re going to prepare and cook a 3 course Portuguese meal in a private cooking experience in central Porto or near the river, learn about the Portuguese ingredients and culinary techniques to use back home… all for you to discover.
With our chef, you’re going to experience the secrets of the local and famous codfish, “francesinha” or another typical Portuguese dish and enjoy the Mediterranean custom of sharing food in a relaxed way around the table.
You will cook and prepare a complete meal (Cook and Taste | ex. Codfish), discover all the secret methods used by professional local chefs as you go.

The demarcated Vinho Verde wine region extends across the northwest of Portugal, in the area traditionally known as Entre-Douro-e-Minho. In terms of geographical area, it is the largest Portuguese demarcated region, and one of the largest in Europe.
Exclusively produced in the demarcated region of Vinho Verde those wines are only produced from the indigenous grape varieties of the region, preserving its typicity of aromas and flavors as unique in the world of wine.
In the region you can find wines produced from carefully selected blends of grape varieties or a single from a single grape variety, the offerings of the region are diverse… and you can also find sparkling wines and spirits.

Quinta do Ameal is an ancient property (1710) of rare natural beauty. In the property are produced excellent white wines made from a Portuguese grape variety called Loureiro. This reaches its greatest aromatic and tasty expression at the incredible Lima region where the winery is located.
The wines produced in the property are exclusively from grapes grown organically, based on their philosophy that translates into focus more attention and energy on the vine, thereby producing grapes of high quality and excellence for which they achieve unique wines of “terroir”, with great personality and character. For Quinta do Ameal, great wines should always express a sense of place!!!

The wine experience in Ameal is composed by:
Visit to the winery with explanation of the process of vinification, internship, bottling and labeling; Explanation of the process of production of biological grapes; Explanation of wines with light appetizers in a specific test room with a view to the whole vineyard or in the garden (pergola) if the weather helps.
Visit has of approximately 2 hours and taste 2 wines (Ameal – Classic and Ameal Choice), lunching in the property.
